Pilar Winter Hill
At 15 years old, Pilar Winter Hill, is a classical violinist and author of the children's book, A Neighborhood Walk, A Musical Journey. Beginning her studies at age six, she was accepted into the Juilliard Pre-College program at age nine, arguably becoming the first African-American female violinist to gain admission to the world-renowned program. At age 13, she placed second in Italy’s Concorso Andrea Postacchini, becoming the first African-American major prizewinner in an international violin competition.
Hill has performed for numerous dignitaries and given solo performances in renowned venues in the U.S., China, and Europe and has been featured in Teen Vogue and Strings Magazine. She is aware that African-American females have often been underrepresented in classical music and hopes to make her mark and inspire others around the world to pursue their own passions.
Hill is known globally for her viral performance videos. She has over 500 thousand Instagram followers and has received more than 60 million views (and growing). Hill is represented by The Society Management, the U.S. division of Elite World Group.
